- Soundness examination

A thorough soundness examination is critical in localising and diagnosing lameness to establish a successful treatment plan. Procedures include palpation, jogging, lunging, flexion tests, nerve and joint blocks, and more as needed.

- Pre-purchase examination

Buying a horse is a big decision! While the PPE is not a 100% guarantee of the horse's lifelong health and soundness, it provides you with a valuable estimation of the horse's suitability for his intended job. LUEVS has performed international pre-purchase examinations for European export.

- Diagnostic imaging

The use of diagnostic imaging modalities is often useful is understanding the origin of your horse's pain. LUEVS is lucky to have access to the highest quality radiography and ultrasonography equipment.

- Medication: Osphos & Tildren

Osphos and Tildren belong to a class of drugs called biphosphonates. They decrease the painful bone remodelling associated with navicular disease and with hock arthritis.

- Medication: Legend, Adequan, Pentosan

Hyaluronic sodium (Legend), PSGAG (Adequan) and Pentosan sulfate are medications that improve the shock absorption capacities of your horse's joints, which translates to pain-free movement, better performance, and a longer athletic career.

- Intra-articular therapy

Joint injections are a potent, effective, and long-lasting treatment for degenerative joint disease that can keep your horse working comfortably.
